Recently, the Phase‑II Reconstruction and Expansion Project of Jinan Yaoqiang Airport, a key regional transportation hub project, is advancing steadily. As the core skeleton supporting the magnificent terminal building, the steel structure portion of this phase‑II project is continuously undertaken by our company for fabrication and supporting services. We deliver high‑precision steel structure manufacturing to boost the upgrading of Shandong’s aviation hub.
As a landmark project for building a modern four‑type airport, Jinan Yaoqiang Airport Phase‑II terminal features large‑span space and streamlined roof contours, bringing extremely high requirements for the steel structure system. The steel components for this project are highly complicated, with a large number of special‑shaped bent steel structures, including bend‑twist steel members, curved variable‑cross‑section bars, irregular transition joints and curved steel beams. With variable curvatures and irregular spatial forms, these non‑standard components impose strict requirements on deepening design, cutting, bending, welding and pre‑assembly, demanding tight control over plate machining accuracy, welding procedure and dimensional tolerances.

Airport terminal steel structures are characterized by large spans, complex loads, numerous joints and diversified component types. They must meet mechanical performance indicators such as earthquake resistance and wind resistance for aviation buildings, while matching the streamlined architectural aesthetics. These special‑shaped bent components cannot adopt standard profiles and require customized detailed design. BIM 3D parametric modeling is adopted for component decomposition and virtual pre‑assembly to generate precise fabrication drawings. Every procedure including steel cutting, assembly, welding, correction and pre‑delivery pre‑assembly is strictly monitored to guarantee millimeter‑level accuracy on curvature, torsion angles and splicing positions for bend‑twist components.
The project covers full‑set fabrication of main steel frames, large‑span steel roof trusses, roof space trusses, special‑shaped steel columns, curved primary‑secondary steel beams, support corbels and connection joints. Faced with massive special‑shaped parts, heavy welding workload and high deformation‑control risks, our workshop optimizes manufacturing processes and strictly controls key procedures such as high‑strength steel cutting, groove processing, submerged‑arc welding, non‑destructive testing, straightening, rust removal and anti‑corrosion treatment. Full‑process quality inspection is implemented to avoid welding deformation of irregular components, ensuring all delivered steel members feature accurate dimensions and qualified mechanical properties, laying a solid foundation for on‑site hoisting, high‑altitude assembly and closure.

The steel structure acts as the iron backbone of airport buildings, determining safety and appearance of the aviation hub. Specialized in large‑scale transportation‑hub steel structures, our company possesses complete manufacturing capacity for complex special‑shaped and large‑span steel components. Leveraging our integrated manufacturing‑trading advantages, we are executing the Phase‑II airport steel‑structure assignment. We will keep stringent quality control and deliver all steel members on schedule with high standards. Supported by our robust steel‑fabrication strength, we will facilitate the early completion and operation of Jinan Yaoqiang Airport Phase‑II and contribute to the high‑quality development of regional aviation industry.
