ur factory is in full swing of customizedsteel structure manufacturing for the key construction project of Beijing University of Technology, delivering high-quality heavy-duty steel structure components for the university’s new building construction. This batch of core steel structure products are large-diameter circular tube columns, which undertake the crucial load-bearing task of the entire building steel structure system.
The custom steel structure circular tube columns have a total weight of 78 tons, adopting premium Q355C low-alloy high-strength steel as the main material, a preferred material for high-rise and public building steel structure engineering. Different from ordinary conventional steel structure parts, this batch of tube columns is equipped with integral annular flanges and multiple groups of multi-directional cantilever brackets. The overall steel structure modeling is complex, with diverse stress points and extremely high processing and welding requirements, testing the comprehensive manufacturing capability of precision steel structure enterprises.
In the core welding process of the steel structure, we implement full penetration welding for the connection of ring plates and circular tube bodies. This high-standard welding process makes the steel structure connection integrated and firm. Meanwhile, our technical team formulates targeted welding deformation control schemes for complex-shaped steel structure components, strictly monitoring and adjusting the welding process in real time to eliminate deformation defects, ensuring the flatness and verticality of the entire steel structure tube column.
In terms of structural performance, the circular section design of the steel structure tube columns realizes balanced force bearing in all directions. Compared with other types of steel structure columns, it has more uniform stress distribution, stronger overall bearing capacity and better structural seismic stability. It can fully meet the high-standard load-bearing and safety design requirements of campus public building steel structure projects.
